The project

HOME STREET
HOME
Ways out of homelessness

Under the title HOME STREET HOME Europa, chapters are being created in several EU countries. They portray people who found a home again after years, in some cases decades, of homelessness. Each country chapter shows how different their situation is on the ground, which ways out of homelessness exist and what carried people along the way. The aim is a joint exhibition at the European Parliament.

The project goes back to Berlin-based photographer Debora Ruppert, who has been working on these stories with photography, audio and video for years. Mensch im Fokus e.V. carries the European continuation.
